Principal's Message

Hello Wenonah families,

I am both humbled and honored to be your new principal!  I started my career in public education here in 2006, teaching third grade.  I know first hand what a special place Wenonah is! I am looking forward to serving the community in this new role and getting to know each one of you better.

We are beyond excited to have our students return in person five days a week!  We are hopeful this year provides a little more normalcy and consistency for our students, for you as families, and of course for our teachers.  We have all learned the importance of in person instruction; we are eager to have students back in our building to best provide dynamic, engaging, and intentional learning experiences.

As parents and caregivers, you are an essential part of your child’s educational experience.  I look forward to partnering with you in various ways to best support your child. One of my  goals is to develop a strong, tight-knit Wenonah community that supports our students not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well, so that we are preparing them to be outstanding citizens for the Waynesboro community. Together, we are a rainbow of possibilities!

Yours in gratitude,

Abby B. Arey
